Scientifiques files   21-11-2013: Earthquake in Morbihan Earthquake in Morbihan A seismic event of magnitude ML = 4.6 occurred in the area of Vannes (Morbihan) on 21 November 2013 at 09h 53 UT. The epicentre is located near the South Armorican Shear Zone in an area which regularly experiences events in this range of magnitude, for example: • the Hennebont earthquake of 30 September 2002 of ML=5.7, with an epicentral intensity of V-VI • the Landes de Lanvaux earthquake of 9 January 1930, with an epicentral intensity of VII. Four aftershocks of very low magnitude were recorded by the LDG network in the 24 hours following the event of 21 November 2013.
